Pretty much just have to say +1 to what everyone else has said about this fabulous jacket and the perfect fit.
As I mentioned before I think this is my grail jacket and if I ever do happen to get one I hope it fits half as well as yours.
Well done Dude!

That side profile though...!

Thanks dude!

Best of the bunch dude. No question about it. Fit is *to the nuts*. I absolutely love that jacket. If it gets better than that, I’ve not seen it. Congrats!

Thanks man I really appreciate it. The only other jackets as great as these are my other FW jackets and this one does fit the best. What is it that makes it the best of mine to you? Not arguing, just curious because the consensus is overwhelming here :D

Looks super! That jacket really ticks all the boxes for me.

Thanks! I'm super happy with it :)

Perfection
Best looking jacket on you.

Thanks! What makes you say that? Maybe it's because I'm not used to black on me, but as of now, I still like my other two Freewheelers slightly more.

Looks like a great fit and jacket.
Congrats
HD

Thank you very much, Sir!

Well, my great regret at not buying myself is tempered by seeing how well it fits you. Congrats.

Haha thanks! I am so grateful to have it and to have the fit work out so well.

Great fit and almost strange to see you in a black jacket. The "California collar" looks so great.

That's how I feel too. I'm still getting used to it, but I like it and it certainly offers more outfit possibilities for me in the future. The collar may specifically be my favorite aspect of the jacket. I adore it!

Best fitting of the three. Best looking jacket of the three too but this is CLesque so of course. Awesome jacket that looks perfect on you, congrats.

The more I look at it, the more I agree that it does fit the best, though the Sunset is the most comfortable thanks to the nearly as good fit and the deerskin. Thank you so much for the kind words.

That one is the best! Congratulations!

Thanks man! Why do you say that? I'm just curious because this has been the overwhelming consensus from everyone. Is it just the fit or does it go beyond that?

I just have no words. Congratulations! View attachment 168870

Thanks man I appreciate it!

That jacket is really nice! It's the best I've seen from you and that says a lot. Really, really impressive all around.

Thanks dude. Can I ask why you think it's the best in my collection? That's definitely the consensus so I am wondering why everyone thinks so :)

Congrats!
All your three Freewheelers are absolutely superb, but exactly this one definitely seems to fit you best!

I think it does fit the best overall. It certainly fits the best in the arms. I am extremely pleased with it!

Noooo! Please don’t do that to me!! But after your fantastic fit pics (best jacket on you!) I somehow have to convince myself again that I do have enough jackets and don’t need the Mulholland which more and more turns out to be my favorite black jacket! Congrats from my side! You’re so lucky to find an almost new jacket at that price!!!

I imagine they will restock it again. Just contact Freewheelers or any of their dealers to make sure to get one. It will be worth it!

Very nice pictures, very nice jacket, great fit.
This is IMO your nicest one and your best fitting yet.

May I ask why you think it's my nicest one? I agree it probably is my best fitting and the most flattering fit on me, but so many people say it's my best that I have to know exactly why :)

Second that

Thanks so much!

Looks great with either a dress shirt or a henley. Well done!

Thanks! That button down I'm wearing is actually a very thick duck fabric :) I am glad it works with both shirts so well.

yup .. best one yet
congrats!

Why do you say that? Just curious because that idea is so overwhelming here.

I had to take a run at it, genuinely happy it went to a pure leather enthusiast like myself.

I put it on Ebay, and had a great offer. Wanted to sell it here and glad it worked out. If Ebay buyer had done buy it now, they would have had it
..fate put it it in the hands of dudewuttheheck, and the world is better for it.

Cheers!!

Indeed! I am forever thankful that the ebayer didn't click "buy it now". I could hardly be happier with this jacket! Thanks again for the smooth transaction and for working with me instead of just letting it go to ebay :)

Great photos, thanks for taking the time and effort to showcase the jacket so well Dude. It's certainly worth showcasing. A superb round-out to your Freewheelers family.

Thanks! Of course I hope to have more in the future, but now I really have to figure out which one :D I was too excited not to take a ton of pictures on the first day.

Well done Dude!

Thank you so much! I love this jacket and it looks better on me than I thought. I do hope Freewheelers releases this one again soon. I would be shocked if they did not.

The Mulholland fits you great and out of the three free wheelers is also the easiest to wear. Looking at the pictures it gives you a good silhouette.

The sunset I like it a lot too a more relaxed fit but a less muted jacket of course that dominates everything else you are wearing due to its light colour. Sleeves are a bit longer than I’d specify on a custom but they wouldn’t bother me.

The Caboose is probably the one I like to stare at the most. But looking at pictures (not just yours) I find it to be a very “rigid” pattern. Super trim in the lower body with relatively wide shoulders and long sleeves. It’s more bike oriented than you might expected from a center zip halfbelt. I don’t like how it fits in general.

Just my 2 cents of course but the Mulholland and the Himel grizzly are your 2 best fitting jackets ;)

best fit of the three imo Jake. And the jacket...well it's my absolute dream jacket. Ever since I had to sell my Mulholland in vintage brown because it was a size too small I've been on the hunt for a used one in vintage black. I can finally say that I have one on the way from Japan right now. I can only hope it'll fit me as well as it does you!

Actually there is a seller in Japan having my size available. I‘ve been thinking for weeks whether or not to sell my brand new black The Flat Head Deerskin Single Rider jacket and buy the Mulholland instead. The potential high financial loss kept me from selling it and I can only buy The Mulholland if I sell a jacket. Perhaps I will post fit pics of The Flat Head jacket here after my vacation.

This is the nicest of all three FW jackets in terms of fit and sleeve length as seen on pictures. I also like the color black extraordinarily on you, better than the others. Be carefully with the zippers. I have enlarged the leather strips next to the zippers a little so that the zippers work properly. I also use a narrow and wide hanger, since the FW jackets have tendency to bulge in the shoulder area when using wrong hangers. Have fun wearing your Mulholland ...

I think the fit is certainly the best of the three. Everything looks dead on spec’d to custom. I’m also partial to the style. It’s very much like an early LAPD jacket but without being 23” long. For a black leather jacket, this looks to be the pinnacle imho. Everything is done just right. You can tell from the photos it’s great but the fit pics really seal the deal.

Just in case it does not fit you well (I suppose it is size 38) please let me know! The two jackets you sold me fit very well and slightly tighter than they fittet on you. Cheers, Robbie

Now I understand why you have such a fondness for Freewheelers. Just spent some time at your site reading your jacket posts. This one really works on you. Nice score!

Impressive Jake, good photos, great fit and a good write up. As you know I have three Freewheelers and I love the quality of the jackets. I always get positive comments on the jackets when people see the in the flesh.
Great pickup. Well done. A win for the Lounge all round.

I... Honestly, can't pinpoint the exact reason. All I know is that I like it the most of all the jackets you have (had) and I don't even have to go back and check the other photos to compare. The difference between jackets on this forum is (for the most part) so subtle that in all likelihood, nobody outside this hobby would even notice the difference but it's... That magic tough that makes one jacket nicer than the other. That subtle difference. Everything being perfect often being the case here, like I said, but this one has that extra something that makes it... Better. Just sits on you perfectly. It's like a CGI jacket.
Plus I think black leather really works great for you.

I do agree that the Mulholland and the Grizzly are my two best fitting jackets, especially upon wearing this jacket more. Very well put by saying that the Sunset basically dominates whatever outfit it is part of. Also, you are spot on about the Caboose being rigid. I do really like that about it, but with me not being super skinny, I think that means that while it fits me well IMO, the Mulholland fits me better. Thanks fort the great insight!

I think Flat Head makes very nice jackets, but if it were me, I would sell the Flat Head and buy the Mulholland. That said, it's your choice entirely.

Thanks very much! I have basically no intention of using the handwarmer pockets thankfully :)

It does have the police vibe, which I think is actually quite cool and you are right that it fits the best of my Freewheelers. The only other black jacket I like as much as this one is the Freewheelers San Mateo, but this one is more my style. I do think that this is the ultimate black leather jacket for me. That said, a San Mateo is on my "eventually" list.

Now I understand why you have such a fondness for Freewheelers. Just spent some time at your site reading your jacket posts. This one really works on you. Nice score!

Thanks for reading! I really do have a thing for Freewheelers :D

Thanks so much! Your Freewheelers jackets are fantastic as well! My Caboose is my most complimented jacket in person so Freewheelers is doing something right.

I... Honestly, can't pinpoint the exact reason. All I know is that I like it the most of all the jackets you have (had) and I don't even have to go back and check the other photos to compare. That is definitely a strong feeling. I think you are right that it seems to sit on my perfectly. In fact, after wearing it further, though my Himel Wolverine grizzly does technically fit better, this jacket sits on me better than anything I own. "It's like a CGI jacket." I love that. I'm going to have to use that in the future to describe a beyond perfect fit :D . I have to say I am loving the black more and more every minute that I wear it, so much that I may need to get another pair of black boots to wear with it haha! Thanks so much for elaborating.

...and the sleeves are the correct length too. But honestly, Monitor is correct. This one looks best on you.

That does help, though even if I do adjust the sleeves on the others, I think this will still fit the best.

Definitely the black! And it looks great from the side shot, which is a tough angle to nail fit-wise. Extremely nice all around.

I didn't even think about how hard it is to nail that view, but you're right now that I see the side view. Thanks!

For me personally, black is the hardest color to like because it seems too sterile and monochrome on leathers when they are new. They always require break in and a little wear to come alive, even on a sensational grained leather like this seems to be. I think this and the sunset has a great journey ahead when it comes to develop character, while the Caboose is pretty much perfect colorwise already IMO.
