The pictures are absolutely great. I have to admit that the Teamster looks as close to perfect as I've seen and I'm currently drooling over both the location and the Teamster. I'm here in Florida.......waiting for winter!

You and me both, brother.

Thank you for the pics. The pairing of the jacket with the green cords is really nice. Is that the actual site where Robin and LJ were reputed to have fought? That was one of my favorite scenes in books when I was young.
Thanks for the compliments :)
You can cross the falls and hardly get your feet wet in summer.
This is just the area where the film fight was staged as I am into visiting filming locations for TV and Cinema. There is a small tribute to the filming in the tourist office, apparently Kevin Costner caught a cold falling in the river a few times.
I don't know about the real location of any fight, as it is the legend of Robin Hood is just that, and legends are all about a time lost in time so to speak. Some say Robin would take from the rich and keep it for himself and his fellow thieves and Friar Tuck was just as bad. Maybe thats where the legend about the Rich and the poor started?
The famous tree, the Major Oak said to be around 800 years old, where Robin was supposed to have hidden in was once said to be more or less a twig during his time.
But no one ever did Robin Hood and Little John as well as Errol Flynn and Alan Hale sr

:)
My Mrs took the pose against the tree from an old 1960s catalogue featuring guys in sweaters. You'r right, you gotta have some fun, especially when it's a freezing February.

Cheers :)
The hat? I bought it new in Brighton UK, the maker is believe it or not 'Susquehanna Hat Company' so really I'm unsure, but it is a nice hat at £80. They come in grey, bottle green and dark navy.
I wear it a lot in the winter, especially with the Teamster, in rain, snow and also when it is just cold. The scarf is also one of Aero's tartans to match their jacket linings. This one is Black Watch, I usually match it with my Barnstormer.
Thanks again, J

Thanks for the info on the hat! Will look them up …
And knowing you're matching tartans too just confirms the well-put-together look! Very smart. Love it.
Cheers!

Earlier in the year I took a trip to Aysgarth Falls, where the Kevin Costner Robin Hood film, Prince of Thieves was made. This is the area where Robin fought Little John.
Hope you enjoy the pics, and if you wish to visit, go in the winter as the falls are just a trickle in the summer months. Unless it has been raining hard haha.

Back in time when I first got it a couple of years ago. The finish is glorious, just like a freshly shelled conker. Jacket about a week old.

No mate, it's Aero's brown front quarter Horse. If ordering I would;d ask for a sample as Aero's browns occasionally are different shades and tones etc, basically it is what they are supplied with.
I have a 12 year old Highwayman that came as a dark but plain brown, ageing well but quite different from the Teamster you see here. This brown is a beautiful colour, similar to a a fresh Horse Chestnut(conker) with some subtle changes in the surface colouration that really make the jacket stand out.
If you really want to see what this colour looks like there is a picture of it in another post soaking wet worn on Blackpool Prom, because(all together now) I do like to be beside the seaside :)
