My Suit Nightmare

Way back in 1996 I had to go to a function where I needed a new suit. At the time I was was a weight lifting fanatic and I was harder to fit than I am now. Had several friends that told me about this place within driving distance of where I lived that specialized in Big and Tall mens suits. The man did my measurements went into the back and came out with the only suit he had in stock that would fit me. It was a beautiful canary yellow with lime green plaid suit coat and matching pants. He went and picked out a shirt and tie. The shirt was a lite yellow tie was lime green.

I was hopping for blue brown or black suit myself I did not have the words to discribe what he put before me. Still a little troubled about it. I did thank the man for his time turned and walked out the door. I did find a sport coat that was ill fitting and wore it with some matching pants.

I still to this day do not know what to call that place. I am guessing they specialize in the latest "pimp attire" I can say they did scare me and I did not listen to those friends anymore.

Are you sure it was 1996 instead of 1976?

Come to think of it, that suit may have been in the back since '76.

Yes, I am sure it was 1996 I came home and told my wife and she still laughs about it. It was cut as a suit coat and slacks not a leisure suit. I am very familiar with the leisure suit too. I was a fourteen when we landed here in the United States. The first suit of clothes given to me was a very scary blue plad leisure suit with very long collars.
