My Spankin' New Stetson

I went to Byrnie Utz here in Seattle today just to "look around' and check out different brim sizes and colors. Yes, of course I bought something. I loved my cheap grey wool fedora (in my avatar) so much, I bought a nice version. A brand new Royal Stetson, I think its rabbit fur? They added the dents for me right there in the store with the steam machine, all custom and stuff. (pardon my super-newbie terminology) I had found a royal stetson at a junk store 2 sizes too small earlier in the day, so when I saw this one new, i figured why not start a new wearing-ship together? I think it will be a good standard hat, an everyday buddy.

Nice lid. It looks a lot like the hat worn in my avatar by "John Smith" from "back East".

The brim looks a bit narrower than my Adventurebilt. How many inches?

The brim is only 1 3/4 of an inch. I thought it looked wider at first glance. I was after a 2'' brim but ended up with this guy! Now I still get to hunt down that 2'' brim! I'm going to put Back East in queue.
