My one "new" Borsalino (a Marca Colombo)

Dinerman did it to me.

Just when i thought i was able to ease on the hat buying urges, a "new" borsalino hat showed up. The rest, well, is history.

Here it is:

Not a very detailed pic of the interior, but I can see the picture of a ship on the logo:

And the shop where the hat was sold, M.&P. Carnevale in Napoli

The seller told me that the hat is 5.5 inches tall with 2.5 inch brim. The Ribbon in 1 inch and the sewtband looks like new.

I think a few of us have the same model. If i'm not mistaken, Douglas also bought one last year? BTW, Douglas, in case you have a few more borsalino you need to clean up, you know who to contact...

So, do you guys like it?

It is a beauty. And a fairly amusing brand name pun in Italian. If only it were a size 6.

I forgot to post the box that comes with the hat. Can anyone date the period when a hat was made from the box too?

My interest in hatbox collection has been on the increase lately. Dinerman, in case you come across a cool hatbox around the place where you found your amazing hats, please let me know.
