I ordered these in a fit of rage at the end of august upon realizing a size of the Red Wing GT's that fits me does not exist. I just got them last week, the Traveler, sold by Bakers Shoes, which is the semi dress with a 90* block heel, black with brown trim, cap toe, Vibram 269 sole. I got these to be my every-day shoes. I had them styled to look just like the Gentleman Travelers plus a cap toe.
When you first put these things on, the arch support is so prevalent, it hurts, especially since I have fallen arches. The first day, I was starting to regret spending $400 on these things. The second day, they felt a little better. This week, I dont want to take them off. Its almost kind of annoying since I have a nice boot collection, and I can tell now none of my other boots will be getting much wear for a long time to come. Bakers did a great job, customer service is top notch. My advice to anyone planning on ordering from Whites is 1)Get the boots lined. Its a $20 option, but worth it, and 2)If you have flat-ish feet like me, these will need some breaking in, but do it slowly. Start by wearing them 20 minutes a day, and work your way up until you can wear them with no discomfort. If anyone out there plans on ordering a pair of RW GTs, Iron Rangers, or Wolverine 1k miles, just save the extra money, and get a pair of Whites.
