And yes, brass hardware goes great with black leather... I like nickel + black better in all-black configurations (black boots, black belt, black shirt, black jacket) Otherwise, I prefer the brass. It's what I think looks so great about Vanson jackets.

What would also be very cool would be something like a Dustbowl in all-black except for a contrast colour on the insude of the rear pleats for a really subtle effect.

Hey MB, amazing two tone jacket! Wow, man. It's pretty damn cool. I'm looking at a 38 or 40, also with 26" sleeves in the Aero Bootlegger. What is your height and weight? Because maybe I should go with the size 38 also, after looking at your photos. Thanks!

I'm 5' 8" at 150lbs, with a 40.5" chest. The pit-to-pit on my size 38 J106 is 21.5-22". But remember, every jacket is cut differently. Can't say for sure the 38 Bootlegger will fit the same as a 38 J106. I tend to prefer 22" pit-to-pit for most of my jackets, but I can get away with both 21" and 23". 26" sleeves is my golden choice.

If it helps, I'm around the same height/weight and the 40 was perfect for me.
