Very nice indeed. I prefer the drop front short jackets as they seem to lie better than straight cut.

I'm wary of posting those lengths as your body length will be important as regards the actual length of your jacket.
Anyway so long as you bear that in mind in your discussions with Johnsons, the front is 29" from top of collar to bottom point of front panels and the back length is 24" from top of collar to bottom of jacket. Also please note that I'm wearing classic cowboy fit high rise jeans in the pics - most modern jeans would leave me with an exposed belt. Both 'top of the collar' points are the same - the highest point at the back of the collar - on top of the fold.

Thanks for posting the measurements robrinay. I hear you about fit being an individual event. I have a different body than you. I looking at a 1940s Levi Halfbelts and trying to get a feeling for the typical drop in the front hem from the back hem. I have ordered my canvas fit jacket with a 24 inch back but had no idea what front drop would be historically correct. By the way you wear your Areo jacket well.
