Hello everybody,

today it happens. I received a big package from Scottland.:D

Inside a new jacket for my girlfriend (will post picturesoff later) and a long time dream of mine a 38-1711-P in heavy frontquarter horse. I ordered it in November directly in Galashiels, so the meassurement was taken by Will himself. My wish was a trim fitting jacket in brown with no hanging shoulders. I want to wear this jacket insteed of a blazer for my daily business, so I decided not to take russet or seal. The brown looks better with my shoes and belts.

Here is the result:

I´m very happy with the result and totally satisfied! Here you see the fitting. It is directly out of the box, so it will need so time to break in and fell around my body.

That's a great-looking jacket - just right. Did you get it modified in any way, such as the length of the body or sleeves?

What a good result!

That's a beauty! Those early A-2 designs (like SAT, Werber, and Aero) are definitely my favorites. They have little details that just make them special.

I hope you enjoy it.

Noel

Thanks for your comments!

I´m really proud of this A2, but these comments from you make me even prouder.

Like WTF I love these little details of the early A2. A discreet jacket with some hidden pleasures.
Sure their will be some modification in the size. It will be longer in the body and in the arms. I can not exactly says what size the base was. It is labeled 40, but this can not be right. I´ve a M-422 witch fits me like this, sleeves not :( , size 46. Also my Vanson is 46. The 38-1711 cut is very sharp, so I think it´s a 44 or 46, with drift to 46.

And! It will always remember me to keep in shape. It is slim fit, just comfortable, but I must stay like this. Good reason :)
But it will more comfortable when it is broken in. Lets see it in a year, or 2,3,4,5.......

Thank you for sharing my happiness!

Interesting, I've never seen an A2 in FQHH before, I did wonder what it would look like. It'll be interesting to see how it ages.

Beautiful A2

Hallo Oliver,

your new A2 is very beautiful. I have a seal brown FQHH A2 45-1410P from Aero for just 5 months now and it slowly gets smooth and breaks in. I'll post some photos when I have time.
I wish you proud & happy wearing of your new "Schmuckstueck".

Gruss

Thanks for the pics! You have made an excellent choice and I am sure you will have a great time breaking it in. Also the jacket looks great on you.
What type of jacket did you choose for your girl friend?

Aero Pockets

That 's a great jacket, I love it. For me I am like a few of the others here about weight and fit and "slimmer". I am 6 1" 195lbs I want the front pocket like yours, but guys how much "slimmer" does the standard 45o slide pocket like "High and Dry " has, help to slim us down. Stupid question or not? If we spend this much I want it to look good on ME, not just look good on some young hot stud. Also what about the FHB same question.

Coole Joppe, Olli. Wow, that's a nice looking jacket. Aero's 1938 version has always been my favourite among their A2 range. I never knew that they could sew a collar stand in FQHH... Fit, finish, colour...everything seems to be top notch. Edith definitively knows how to make an A2. Especially the small and scalloped pocket flaps are a work of art. The pockets alone are a reason to buy that particular jacket. Does the Talon zip work well or is it difficult to get it properly aligned?
Again, great jacket! Not a faithful repro but a drop dead gorgeous utility jacket. Enjoy wearing it.
