...as promised, before I left, here are a couple of the shots Jon (Aces High) sent of my new pre war model Irvin.
It has been long underway, because I decided to wait for the brand new Lightning repro zippers, Jon had in production.
I'll post some "action-shots" when I receive the jacket, which is still in the post - somewhere between France and Denmark.
I don't think I need to express how exited I am...
When I get the jacket - and has worn it - I will be happy to give a review. But until that, I can only say, that Jon is an absolute pleasure to deal with.
And he bloody well knows what he is doing. He started researching Irvins 6 or 7 years ago. Took an original apart to make patterns, searched for ages for the right sheepskins and tanning processes. Just with one purpose: To make the most accurate Irvin repro. I think he nailed it. Beautifully!:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap
