here's a shot of my cheap-o old morfelt hat. I got it for something like 10 bucks at a antique mall in tennesee. And that's about what it should have cost. I like it because I can trash it without worrying about it too much. I wear it to school all the time, as well as when it rains.

Here's a thriftshop found stetson straw fedora, and a newer lookalike I found because the stetson somehow shrunk from about a 7-1/8 which fit me ( i wear a 7-1/4) to what feels like a very small 7. oh well.

An old stetson derby I got from my dad. seems like every time I wear it, it snows. but it's a nice fur felt hat.

This next one I found in the basement of a great vintage shop in Lebanon, PA for two dollars. That's about half of what it cost new. It also had a very old if found... label in the inside, from lebanon. I guess it stayed there its whole life. Now it's mine, and I wear it all the time. It's very fine felt, and it weighs next to nothing. It's a champ.

I found this resistol in an antique shop in Maine. There were tons of really cool hats there, but this was the only one that fit. The pricetag said vintage hatbox. No mention of the hat. It's got a ribbon on the back, and very detailed paper foldouts under the sweatband.

here's what I paid for. It's a dobbs box. It's cool, but guess what- I just put my hat in it and put it in the closet. It may be neat, but it's just a box (at least to me)

That $2 hat from Lebanon is pretty slick. Very nice find.

last couple

This here's the only hat i've ever paid more than 20 bucks for. It's a dobbs, and it just fits and feels so nice. I got it in Arizona on vacation, along with a resistol open road style.

Also- a glengarry I wear with my kilt when I curl.

I've got a few new hats, but I'm not proud enough of them to share. Two porkpies

Does the $20 max include hats you've gone on to sell? If so I would say you've had some profitable hats in your day!
