My first time

I wanted to curl my hair for the first time last night (I do all my friends hair but not mine..hahaha).. I bought the heated rag rollers from ulta http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2103672&productId=prod2103672&navAction=push&navCount=1

A twenty dollars well spent!!! I was kind of disapointed when I left them on for a while to heat but they still didn't feel that hot (and when with my thick long hair, I was like, yeah right..they wont work what a waste!!) and they were hard to put it by myself cause my hair is so long in the back and I have it cut up in layers. but then I took them out the rollers ten minutes later and they worked amazing!!! I use motion's foaming wrap lotion before I put them in, and my hair was dry and it didn't make my hair too stiff or flakey or anything..it worked great, as well as the rag rollers.. you can also leave them in all night if you choose not to leave them heated plus there really easy to use! I used some old tutorial on how to set the rollers in to get the right look so I tried going for Gene Tierney/rita hayworth style.. I was suprised at how well it came out and how many compliments I got..the curls stayed in all night too! and even this morning i'll only need a little touch up. and I wouldn't have had the balls to try anything either if it wasn't for all the things I read and girl's other experiances and tips with hair right here on the lounge.. so thank you all :D

Great! Glad to hear it worked out, Drea! In the future, though, you might want to consider putting posts like this in one of the 50 billion threads that already exist for this topic :) Just keeps things tidier and easier to navigate.

I'm so glad it worked out well for you! I too am just trying to get into curling my hair and I asked for the same rollers for Christmas. I'm glad to hear that you liked them. In the future, take a picture and post it in the "Show us your do's" post so we can all see :)
