My Eastman RW 1401 with CBI patches

Note quite the great fit as Goodwear (see my new GS Aero outdoor photos in the GW thread) but I do enjoy this A-2. The patches are all WWII vintage. The squadron patch is the 13th Combat Cargo Squadron which was transfered to Air Transport Command control in 43 or 44 (as were a number of CC Squadrons). The shoulder patches are cool because they are a matching set.

Is that an early run of the 1401 from Eastman? The hide is the "redder" color that they seemed to be using early on. I like that jacket a lot. Kind of heartening to see that the hide does eventually get some grain.

thanks - yes about 15+ years old. It sure does take a while for these Eastman's to develop!
