How about John G Hardy 12oz worsted Allsport No 7650?

I agree about Hardy. JGH's Donegal tweed is tighter, tougher and rougher than most others. Almost windproof. I have a pair of vintage Moss Bros. Plus fours in what I am pretty certain is their old Donegal tweed and they are hard trousers, I can tell you. They were NOS when I bought them and they took some breaking in!

Hardy's tweed is terrific, I really like the durable yet stylishness of it. Though it seems pretty pricey per meter/yard, how many yards approximately are needed for a three piece suit (high waisted pants including belt backed & vented jacket? I'm a 40R w/36 or so waist.
