My Book - America in the Thirties

I recently co-wrote the book "America in the 30s" for Syracuse University Press. It is part of the publisher's decades series. The book grew out of a freshman class at Mercyhurst University that we team taught about the 1930s. It's content is probably way to rudimentary for most of you here but that's what the editor wanted since it is designed as a high school senior/college freshman textbook. I provided content on clothing, pulp novels & mysteries, movies, and magazines. Noted historian and author H.W. Brands gave it an excellent review as did a respected history journal. I'm pretty proud of it to say the least. This site also deserves credit since it has stoked my interest and passion in this time period since I joined it 10 years ago.

Congratulations. I looked it up on the Amazon website and even browsed a few pages. Great stuff! Looks like mandatory reading for anyone who feels the pull of the golden era and is looking for a place to start. I am impressed and a bit envious. Not to mention that I wish they had had classes like that when I was at university. Well done!
