I think this one is a Stetson.
It arrived with this bash but looked "lumpy".. The first pic does not do it justice. It is a dark navy blue.

When I reshaped it the hat looked much better.
Unfortunately the sweat is falling apart. It needs some rehab very soon.

I'd say the felt is quasi-stiff... malleable enough to work the front pinch and open the crown. And yes, the binding is maroon - I love the contrast with the navy.
