My Batsakes Reclamation Project

While out around town today I stopped in the only vintage store that ever has hats in town and came across a hat beat all to hell. After close inspection I noticed it was a Batsakes custom from Cincinnati,OH. I took a flier on it because it was affordable. Here is my handy work. Alas it does not fit so I will be posting it for sale on the classified section. Brim is 1 1/2 inches and the crown is roughly 4 inches. Also there is no tag marker but by my rough measurement it is somewhere between a 7 1/4 to 7 3/8.

Had to clean the felt throughly there were stains etc. I cleaned the inside and the sweatband. Finally steamed the entire hat and fixed the years of storage. This thing looked like it was stored under a pile of books lol

A natural activity from a history teacher. Have you tried coleman fuel/white gas for those hard to get out stains? It'll do the trick...often.

No i havent i will add that to the bag of tricks. Gentle scrubbing and steam got these out
