I purchased a WPG A-2 over the summer and have slowly been badging it up. I reenact but I reenact a Combat Inteligence Officer, like Jesse Marcel! (kudos if you know that name!). The squadron patch is my grandfather's, the 82nd Tactical Reconnaissance, 5th Air Force, SW Pacific. I do have a whistle on the throat latch that you can't see here. One internet point if you guess the nametag's origins! I didn't want my real name and grandpa was an honorable enlisted man, so I went with a name that I feel very much like right now at my current career.

Patch by Johnny Signor, I believe he posts here, but he's on Facebook. Excellent work and turn around time is fast as hell. My three year old knows exactly the Disney Character on great-grandpa's Unit's patch!

I bought one of the first batch of WPG A-2s and could not be happier with it. I am currently in danger of developing an A-2 addiction. This is not good...

Looks the goods Trotsky! I absolutely love my first generation WPG A-2, one of the best jackets I own. About to sew in a Korean War blood chit in mine ;)

I would just like to thank you for your post, My grandfather (James Martin - B Flight)was in the 82nd as well, he loaned his patch to a friend of his to make a painting of and we never saw him or the patch again. I have been looking for someone that could replicate it and I was able to track down Johnny Signor from you post ... Thank you!
