LOVED the Broken Spoke back in the 70's- 80's.. Ceiling above the stage was about 6'1". Pretty sure it was Ray Benson from Asleep at the Wheel (6' 6" or so) is the one that broke out the ceiling tile above Ernest in the pic. The Chicken Fried Steak at that place was really goodJerry Jeff Walker and Joe Ely on stage with Ernest Tubb at the Broken Spoke in Austin, TX, 1977.

Yup, the original lineup was awesome. I saw them in the early 90's revamped with Craig Fuller on vocals, he did a decent job. The female singer has a good blues voice, but it's not the same...Love me some Little Feat
