I forget if I posted this. Probably not.

One of my favourite tunes from the 1920s, Cole Porter's famous song: "Let's Misbehave", recorded here by the composer, in 1927:

I love the lyrics in this song. They're so funny.

I'm currently picking it out on the piano. So far, so good...

Actually it's by Irving Aaronson and his Commanders with the vocal by Phil Saxe. The song is originally from Cole Porter's first musical Paris which also featured Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love). Here's my favorite from the show, also by Cole Porter.

I'll have a go at it. I'm guessing that it was Robison's own orchestra as he was also a bandleader. His output was quite prodigious.

Midge Williams I find this artist so very interesting.

She recorded in both Japanese and English in the '30s, working with local groups in China as well as Japan -- all signs of the accomplished versatility that would later make her in demand with great jazz bandleaders such as Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, and Teddy Wilson.
