Well, for us is quite hard to imagine that cep mushrooms don't grow everywhere. I have also dried some for winter. Maybe for this http://tinyurl.com/o32qswh
Oh and Cuba does not mean the communist state, it's wrong translated name Kuba which is familiar variant of name Jacob :D

Congrats! What kind of mushroom it is?

The yellow ones I call buttons. Found about 30 pounds around this oak tree. The other I call sheepshead and some call them Hen of the woods! Probably found 100 pounds of them this year. I tear them apart, wash them, boil them, and freeze them in freezer bags. I roll them in flour and fry them in olive oil or butter. Better than prime rib! I do the same with the buttons or cap mushrooms! These are the only 2 kinds I am familiar with in the fall! The one at the bottom was a surprise. They usually grow by VERY large oak trees and dead oak stumps. This tree was way too small for this mushroom to grow by it but I took it anyway!

Nice photos Howardeye! I'm not experienced mushroomer, so I only take the ceps, parasol mushrooms, and blusher, which grows at a certain location here for decades.
