This is an exceptional, one of a kind jacket. Perhaps my favorite of yours. Congrats. The purple's not at all over the top. I like your yard shots with it.

But it'd be a screen replica for Indiana Jones and the Hallucinogenic Tulip, if that ever came to be. Joking. :)

That is a nice colour, it does look like one of these shades you aren't sure what to call. Definitely unique!

I would invest in a good mid to low rise pair of jeans just for this jacket, it definitely is worth it :)

Edit: typos

Not really my "style" or something I can be a fair judge of. Not being my style Im not 100% on what the standard look is supposed to be or the Indiana Homages included....but that is an insane color. Its stunning, and Id love boots or a jacket in that. Awesome unique score.

Very nice Dude!
Probably your tamest jacket and yet still quite unique. I love the color and I think you need to spend some time shaping and molding that collar to make it look a little less new and stiff. Congratulations!

Impressive jacket. I think that this Badalassi leather color is quite something, I actually find it (looks like Burgundy to me) more interesting than Shinki. With respect of the fit, I think (my bias) that the jacket is a bit long for you even though the pants are high waisted. But if you feel comfortable with the length then it is all that matters.

beautiful leather, in luxurious shade of purple, congrats!

I like the unstitched sleeve end, overtime it will develop interesting look
the neck hole on that is huge, is it custom sized by you?

Thanks! Yeah I like the sleeves, but I think they may need to be shortened. No, this is a stock size.

The barrel sleeves or unhemmed sleeves are exactly like the originals. Looks good to me and is part of the concept.

Yeah good point. That does make me want to keep it that way if I do get them shortened.

Forgot to add that it fits you 10/10. Really a good fitting jacket, one that you can instantly see is pure quality. I love it.

But yeah, that's why I'm getting sick and tired of jeans altogether... So many crazy factors to, well, factor in. One type of pants can completely change the entire look of the jacket I thought fits perfectly and throw it off completely.

Thanks! I do like the fit quite a lot and I think the body length actually works for the jacket. Haha yeah it really is a lot. I do have a lower rise pair that I could wear with these.

Absolutely LOVE this jacket! It’s my favorite of all the ones you’ve posted (and you have some beauties).
The very muted burgundy or maroon tone makes it really stand out.
And having a slightly longer fit makes for a very comfortable and easy-wearing jacket (sitting down without any ride-up at the back, a tad extra coverage if it’s windy or rainy, an untucked shirt won’t stick out like a cape! Etc).
Enjoy the hell out of this one my friend.

Yeah it does make it a very easy wearing jacket. I love the color of the leather.

Badalassi sure is awesome stuff and that's a well made jacket. It adds a lot of playfulness to your jacket rotation.

Thanks! I think so too.

Congratulations!
This color looks great on you. I can imagine the leather evolving and changing as a lot of Badalassi colors do over time- it should be a satisfying and rewarding adventure.
Really cool jacket.
And don’t be too concerned over the name- prugna also means “plum”

Yeah I have experience with Badalassi aging and it does it extremely well so I think this jacket will do that well too.

Looks great dude! Love the back design in particular. Color is really unique, more maroon than purple from what I can tell. Looks great!

Yeah it's more purple in certain light, but probably looking more burgundy most of the time.

Thanks! Yeah that's the most purple looking photos for it so far. I think that's why I like them best too.

I have a lower rise pair I can wear with these. They're still fairly high rise, but much lower than this pair here.

Thanks the color/leather is my favorite aspect of the jacket for sure. I would love a pair of boots in the leather as well :)

Yeah it's definitely still stiff so we'll see how it looks after more wear. I think that will help the sleeves a lot at the very least.

I can absolutely see that. I prefer Shinki still, but this leather could change my mind. It is that good. The depth of color is absolutely stunning. Surprisingly, I do feel comfortable with the length right now. With my high waisted trousers it looks more like a classic sports jacket that I've seen in vintage photos.

I was intrigued when I read 'purple' to see just what that would translate to in terms of your jacket. It has a huge amount of depth to it, hints of brown and red, maroon and purple as you said, depending on the light. The fit is spot-on in the body, sleeves only a little long and the more adventures you have in this jacket - obviously with its movie connotations it's made for adventures - they'll move into line. The big thing with your jackets is how well you wear them. You look comfortable and at home in your own style and it shows in spades. Time to charter a seaplane to Peru and go looking for treasures - or not thanks to the rotten virus! Superb purchase Dude. Your jacket roll call is ace!

Coming from someone who is an Indiana Jones/COW fanboy who has tried to achieve as screen accurate gear as possible from head to toe, I think that this is a very cool interpretation/homage of the jacket and I'm pretty thrilled to see other companies out there trying to keep that stellar design alive.

The leather looks amazing and the color is very cool in that maroon spectrum.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that a IJ jacket can't fit well. I've seen plenty of great examples and also plenty of examples of other styles of jackets fitting terribly (double riders, cafe racers, etc.). Looks great on you! But I think your pics highlight that it looks proportionally best when zipped up due to how high waisted your trousers are. For my money, if that jacket was 23" it would have been perfect on you, but even as is it works really well, perhaps with some medium rise trousers though.

Looking forward to how that jacket breaks in.

Dude, really great jacket! Nice to see something a little different in the color spectrum. Please give some details on the pants—those in the second and third sets especially are terrific.

Yes, the variation of color is one of my favorite aspects of this jacket. Thanks. I do consider the jacket to only be part of the outfit. For some it's overkill, but I consider all parts of the outfit as important.

I appreciate that thought coming from someone who is into actual repros of this type of jacket. I agree with you. Double rider jackets are actually a lot more difficult to get right in fit than a lot of people realize.

Thanks! I love the leather on this jacket.

Both of those are from Buzz Ricksons. The tan pair is their 1945 chinos. The olive pair is their hbt trousers. Both are military repro trousers with wide legs and high rises which I love.

Spectacular in every way! I concur that the longer style goes well with that jacket. Zipping it up or combining with lower-rise bottoms my even improve the look, but it´s great as it is. Once more, a pleasure to come across such impeccable style!

Thanks! I could never go too low rise though and I just don't think this jacket looks great zipped up on me. It fits comfortably like that, but it doesn't look as good imo.

Mind me asking about this? In my eyes, it looks absolutely great zipped and unzipped on you. What don't you like about the zipped look?

One other good thing about your jacket @dudewuttheheck, with a jacket that’s hip length instead of waist length, you can just throw on a neck tie for a slightly more “formal” look. Gives you lots of options on how and when to wear that particular jacket. Win-win!:)

To me, it looks too stiff zipped up, the pockets look longer, and I also just generally think that most leather jackets look better unzipped.

Yes I realized that as soon as I looked at the pictures. This jacket will be great to wear to work especially if I need to wear a tie and need to look a little more put together while still wearing a leather jacket.

@dudewuttheheck I saw on IG that you've decided to sell the jacket. May I ask what made you decide to pass it on? Is it the fit, is it the leather, is it some detail you've overlooked when ordering?
