Weenie Question

What is the oldest film ever to be MST'd?

You could do a lot with a talky '30s B mystery or drama. I frequently talk back to the screen when these air. But you'd lose the geekerati without the 50s-60s / sci fi / atomic age references.

I think their riffs on the short films are my favorites (who knew Union Pacific produced such gems?). That Iowa Home Ec one Starius mentioned up thread is a favorite too.

Of their full length films Girlstown is one of my favorites--someone from IMDB said it better than I could: "You haven't lived until you've seen Mel Torme as the leader of a motorcycle gang, Elinor ("Father Knows Best") Donahue as Mamie Van Doren's kid sister, and Sheilah Graham as a nun. The piece de resistance, however, is Paul Anka's rendition of "Ave Maria." There's a special place in my heart for "Manos: Hands of Fate" as well.

Back in college, one of the favs from the later seasons by me and my college friends was Puma Man. For some reason, we really got into ragging on that one.
"He has the power to rear project major cities!"

By the way, here is the original MST3K KTMA intro, in case some of you haven't seen it before:

Oh gee! Look at what the Lounge does to me! Now I have to start a new DVD collection! lol

I used to watch MST3K every chance I got. I prefered Joel, but Mike grew on me, and I still liked the show. It's been a while and there were so many shows, that I don't think I could name a favorite.

Years before MST3K, my mother, brother, my friend Russ and I watched Firefox, with Clint Eastwood. My brother was very into the movie, but Russ and I did the MST3K thing throughout it. That angered my brother. lol

My best line to that came when the radar guys thought Clint had been shot down: Radar guy: "They shot his *** out of the sky!" Me: "And his arms, legs, head, torso . . ." This preceded MST3K by about ten years. ;)

"Veins throbbing!
Heart clogging!
Mitchell!
*wakka chicka, wakka chicka, wakka chicka*"

"Keep your eye on the sammich!"

Favourites:

The Touch of Satan
for the seemingly NEVERENDING opening credits and the idiot female lead: "This is where the fish live!"

The Giant Spider Invasion
"Packers... Woooo! Packers!!!"
and the constant ribbing on Steve Brodie, who had seen better days.

Anyone remember the name of the monster movie that took place in a swamp and the main characters kept making coffee??? I can't think of it, and it's driving me crazy!
