I really like the profile on that one.Nice one. Looks like a Knox Vagabond with the raw brim and contrasting 7/8 ribbon.

Yes, there is another one who could wear a hat, in any condition......or type. He loved especially doing westerns."Dead End" (1937) with Humphrey Bogart, Alan Jenkins, and Joel McCrea...also with the "Dead End Kids" who later became the "Bowery Boys". Great movie. Nice hats from the later 1930s. I actually like Alan Jenkins hats the best in this movie.
I recognize some of those movies he was in. Yup. He sure could wear a hat.Yes, there is another one who could wear a hat, in any condition......or type. He loved especially doing westerns.

Appears to have a self felted ribbon…. Similar to Dobbs Gay Prince…. But without the whipstitchand Lee Marvin in, correct me if I'm wrong, an Open Road.

“You’re going out a youngster but you’ve got to come back a star!” One of my faves. Gee, that Ruby Keeler…Warner Baxter in"42nd Street". View attachment 583563
Every once in a while one of the original giclee prints of the Little Dog Dream sequence like above pops up at auction but I have never been lucky enough to get one. I like Last Of The Dogmen too. That scene always reminded me of the scene where Lewis Gates first encounters the Cheyenne dog soldiers in one of my favorite "esacpe" movies, The Last of the Dogmen
"42nd Street" is a great movie for hat lovers. I like the women's hats“You’re going out a youngster but you’ve got to come back a star!” One of my faves. Gee, that Ruby Keeler…
The Big Heat is a great one — and love that hat. I’ve got a beater that is very close to that profile that always reminds me of this film.
Mr Ford could really wear a western. He sported a dress hat really well also.
THE BIG HEAT
Here is a good clip from 1958s COWBOY
That first one is fantastic!
