I haven't heard anything, but if anything pops up on COW, I'll be sure to relay it.

This new hat seems to have a little less contrast in the ribbon color and certain angles make the brim look wider. In this image it almost looks like it lacks the dimensional cut. Definitely a shallower flange. A little less boxy than the Adventurebilt from the last film.

Reminds me of my Akubra Federation from 2001. No dimensional brim, wider brim, taller crown, not as boxy crown. Ribbon was a matching colour.
Looks like they may have used the TOD model from Herbert Johnson. Moving towards the Old Indiana Jones from the young Indiana Jones chronicles. Just a thought

I watched NO SUDDEN MOVE - a contemporary thriller by Steven Sondheim, set in the mid-1950s. I found the movie enjoyable enough to lose focus on the hats. I think that's a positive review.

Don Cheadle is almost never without his fedora, and wears it very comfortably throughout the film. Brendan Fraser wears a serviceable hat. But for me, Jon Hamm's wide-brimmed fedora stole the show.

I've seen suggestions (guesses) that it's a modified Stetson "Black Hawk" crushable wool hat, but nothing more definitive or official.

I remember watching that movie a couple years back. Holden sported that thin ribbon really well.

In time for Halloween. Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger in the original 1984 horror classic, "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Freddy's fedora had a ribbon and bound brim. He wore it with the brim snapped to one side.
