Here's the closest one on Dave Morgan's site, but I don't think that's the one in the movie.

"Losing the West" a good documentary about the migration of folks to west of the MS and the diminishing range and farm land as a result, as seen through the eyes of some old time CO Cowboys. The main character is Howard Linscott, who was 70 at the time of filming. Released in 2013. Not a lot of hat images that I could find but I thought the film was worthy of mention.

Listen closely to the stories Linscott tells. He's a mumbling old cowboy and at times they used closed captioning with him. Tells a good tale. Hope you enjoy.
I liked the story about him riding his best horse into the New Sheridan Bar on New Years Eve & it was nothing but wall to wall hippies!

I could almost relate about always having to eat biscuits with cat hair in them. And I liked him teasing the guy about his cowboy boots with no cowboy heels under them. Only thing lower than a walking heel is a roper!

Wonder if there's an update on him after they lost the lease on the livery barn?

PS: Just found his obit.

What, like there's any other way to eat steak?
I apologize. If he had lived in the city Linscott probably would have died 10 yrs sooner. That was my point.

As some here know my best friend & long time business partner in many ventures is now on the clock with Lymphoma. In a recent conversation he said something that made me realize he has accepted his fate. He has asked me to for several things, some yet to come. When I got home I wrote down exactly what he had said because I wanted to remember it & let it sink in:

"Being a man I've always thought living long enough to sit in a rocking chair all day is overrated anyway."

As far as I'm concerned my buddy & Howard Linscott are real men.

I would agree. I must not be, because I wouldn't mind doing a little rocking before I go out.

There's nothing saying you can't have a cigar, a glass of bourbon (or a 20 year old tawny port!) and a nicely seared steak while you're sitting in that rocking chair, looking over a lake or some mountains...
