A few years ago I had a fellow in Berkley change one on a D-series Star. I think his name was Zoltan. He took quite a while but did a very good job.

I have fairly recently had work some work done to a couple of my USN jackets. That work included having changed out some old mouton collar material. Not to mention, I provided the material. Those jackets were refurbished in their entirety and the individual break down was not included in total cost. However, I found a local " sailmaker " that would have gladly done the job for nearly half the price to do a total make over. So I believe that it pays to do a complete restoration rather than one piece at time.
