I'd actually go with light brown. It makes for a nice contrast. There's a member here who posted his black Highwayman with a light brown collar-looked nice.
Agreed. I'm not really a fan of mixing brown and black myself - I'd stick with black on black instead. The rust mouton that aero has, however, really looks sharp against black to my eye. It's probably the combo I'll go with for the Thunder Bay I hope to order in later 2015...
I have an Aero Hercules (the older model, not the recently introduced one) in brown CXL horsehide ... the lining is black moleskin. It is amazingly good looking.
I'm hoping to pick one of these up in time for next Winter. Funnily enough, not long before Ken unveiled the Thunder Bay, I was kicking around the nition of a black shearling. I toyed with the idea of one of those Schott B3alikes in black, before developing the notion of a Highwayman with shearling lining and a mouton collar. Really not far off what the Thunder Bay actually is...
