Hattie McDaniel

Some one who has not been mentioned hear but should be, is Hattie McDaniel! She was the first African American to win an Oscar, and has a star on the walk of fame. She was able to play assertive women at a time when African Americans were not allowed to be assertive. Sadly, she died far to young, one can only imagine the cutting edge roles she could have had if she had lived into the late 50s, and early 60s. She also gave one of the best acceptance speeches ever! Agree all around. Errol was my moustach role model as a younger lad (and I still refer to him sometimes).
