Hattie McDaniel

Some one who has not been mentioned hear but should be, is Hattie McDaniel! She was the first African American to win an Oscar, and has a star on the walk of fame. She was able to play assertive women at a time when African Americans were not allowed to be assertive. Sadly, she died far to young, one can only imagine the cutting edge roles she could have had if she had lived into the late 50s, and early 60s. She also gave one of the best acceptance speeches ever! She certainly had more class then many actresses before or since.

I can't really pick any actresses, [ I can't even think of any modern ones that I fancy ] my taste in women is very particular....

But I'm not above saying Errol Flynn, James Stewart and Gary Cooper were handsome blokes

Myrna Loy - and if I could find a photo of her from "Libeled Lady" where she is sitting on a couch talking to Spencer Tracy then I'd die a happy man - beautiful and smart.

As for the guy, I'd have to say William Powell - not classically good looking but any guy who could get Carol Lombard and Jean Harlow to fall for him is no slouch.

I can't believe nobody's mentioned the gorgeous Olivia de Haviland or her sister Joan Fontaine. That's what I call natural beauty.

As for my favorite hunk, I'd have to go with Errol Flynn, cliche though it is.
