As the article mentions, some are using them as a substitute for reading glasses when just a quick glance at something is required. Perks my interest as groping around for my readers to check the phone or a receipt is a royal pain and there's no way I'm hanging them around my neck like some do. I guess I'd rather be thought a hipster than an AARPSTER. :p

AARP keeps sending me their stuff, and I've never been contacted by Rolling Stone for a review of Slightly Stoopid. I guess I'm pegged as an AARPster...

Is there anyone on the Lounge who wears a monocle on a regular basis? Or maybe anyone who carries around a quizzing-glass on a regular basis?

I keep a pocket-magnifier/quizzing glass in my pocket whenever I go out. I need it to read small print. With my eyesight, anything helps. It gets a few looks, but most people think it's cute. No reason a disability can't also look classy.

I do, and there are a few others, I think. Dr. Doran, who started this thread, also does. I also have pince nez for when I'm sitting and reading a book or something.
