Mom called it rouge

I never heard my mom or grandma refer to cheek colour as blush, cheek colour.. they used a cream type called rouge.

Anyone here use this?

Most 'blushers' were referred to as 'rouge' no just the cream types. Bourjoir still make a powder version which I love, and am using Max Factors cream version at present.

In Holland everything we put on our cheeks is called rouge, even some call foundation, rouge

I thought rouge was just another name for blush -- powder, creme, whatever!

Ditto what everyone says. Rouge is just another name for blush. It's french for 'red'. "Rouge a levres" or lip rouge is for lipstick even though it doesn't have to be 'red'.

Same here in Germany... with the exception of foundation
Basically anything red/pink - well, rouge.
