Moleskin Fabric Wear

I have two moleskin blazers that are high quality. Problem is, the fabric looks shabby on the elbows and other higher wear areas. At those points and around the edges of seams the fabric looks flat, worn and slightly lighter this is after just a few weeks of wear. Both blazers are new. Is there a trick to getting moleskin back to normal? I've tried a warm moist cloth and a brush with no pay off.

I think this is one of the perils of moleskin. Trousers get flat and shiny on the seat almost instantly, etc. etc. etc.

Personally I think the wear areas give the items much-needed character (moleskin can be a little too Professor-ish). But I don't like things to look too new, anyways.

Thanks Baron. I thought someone might say that the wear is part of the charm. I like worn leather, worn waxed cotton and worn tweed, but the moleskin looks a bit shabby. Maybe I'll find a way.
