It was recently pointed out to me that actor Lou Jacobi had passed away last fall (10/23/09). He was a very funny man.
This prompted me to borrow the DVD of Barry Levinson’s “Avalon” from my library. Lou’s “You cut the turkey without me?” scene is great!
The film takes place (mostly) in the very late 40’s/very early 50’s and has many great suits, hats, ties, casual shirts, dresses, etc.
There are some spectacular cars including a (rarely seen in film) Crosley.

As this thread has been quiet for a while, perhaps there are other more recent films that deserve a mention as well.
