I think you’re right; it does appear to be a G&B jacket (along with a leather Nametag made by the famous Tipsy Gypsy!).
Tipsy Gypsy patches are the best. Takes a metric minute to get done since it’s a small operation but they are the kings of embossed patches.I think you’re right; it does appear to be a G&B jacket (along with a leather Nametag made by the famous Tipsy Gypsy!).
Good eye on the fit. I would venture a guess that he probably received some special treatment and got a jacket fitted to his measurements. Of course it is possible that he is an avid reader of The Fedora Lounge and therefore knew that the trick with G&B is to order at least two sizes smaller than you would normally!I’d also say that the pic of the Adm standing shows a pretty flattering fit; trimmer than the old traditional G+B. Hard to tell from a pic, but either they have trimmed down their pattern or he had a custom jacket made.
Two sizes smaller eh? Since I wear a 42 suit jacket and either a 42/44 flight suit depending on the maker, I guess I should order a 40 and 42 since I live nowhere near the factory. Hoping the back and arm length is still enough in the tall configuration.Good eye on the fit. I should email G&B and see if they still do made to order G1s for those with taller than tall dimensions.
