I love espadrills for summer lounging around the house or whatever.. I remember having some in a cream color with a vibrant multi-stripe. Anyone one know of a good place to pick up a pair know-a-days?

I've never seen any for men, except in old pics from Esquire and AA and pics from the 60's and 70's. That's not a dig, just saying I think they're pretty rare these days.

I just noticed that the one called "Pepe" in the link that Senator Jack posted are only $26 and come in several solid colors besides the pink and black that are initially pictured.

A little pricey but Ben Silver sells them (look a bit like Espadrilles, etc?) and Stubbs & Wootton also had nice ones. I am however, have more trouble finding them in the past few years than I did in the past.

Looked around for years for the perfect pair. Wanted something very 60s and finally found this site. Bought a pair last year. Exceptional quality

Years ago I used to regularly holiday in the Greek Isles and we always wore them. I used to pick them up in the Plaka from memory. They looked like the cheaper Pepe ones here. But they always went loose and had heel slip - this is why the ladies' ones have straps I imagine. This guy seems to have solved the problem. You also had to buy them tight as well as the canvas seemed to stretch.

Espadrills would go well with the Picaso shirt that J Peterman sells, and some baggy linen shorts.
