Man that was alittle conceided... I'm sorry everyone... I just wanted to be included as a MAN OF THE LOUNGE!

Haha. Just thought I'd let you know...a friend of mine who is not a member of the lounge, nor is she into anything Golden Era, saw these pictures of you. I swear she drooled all afternoon. Figured I'd give you a big head, haha.

Dear Ladies, Please observe that, what you have seen uptill now, is "only" the North American branch of the Lounge.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Then surely it is time the rest of the world put in an appearance, eh? You going to kick it off, Spitfire? :D

I was looking through this thread and the Queen Mary 2006 photos and something struck me.

Maybe this has already been mentioned but I think Maintcoder could be Preston Sturges' younger brother--does anyone else see the resemblence?

Thanks for the compliment. There have been times I have been told I look like John Cusack and even Charlie Sheen, so I take this as an improvement! lol

Purely in the interests of supporting the "Rest of the World" contingent...

I wouldn't normally... but.

In contrast with the lovely Salv,
is me...
...waiting for a beard to grow.

I don't think there are any other pics of me around, (Pseudo-Picasso avatar excluded)
so here it is-

Don't worry- I'll shave it off again next week.

Salv, that is one absolutely wonderful photo! Wow!

Mr Clements is very good at what he does. The folios on his website have some beautiful photos, especially the 1955-65 set which show a few of the photos from the book, and the New Vintage Denim photos from number 10 onwards. It was a good day though - I had to hang around for several hours on a street corner near Waterloo, leaning on classic 50s British cars, and laughing at the yuppie couple who took exception to having a bunch of 50s throwbacks wandering around the street. Plus I got to spend time with that young lady on whom Senator Jack developed a crush...

One more from Copenhagen...

Well here we go then...

I would say it's quite good representation from the Copenhagen Few; Spitfire, BellyTank and me. That's 60 % of the "Danish" loungers. Now we only need Hammelby and Thomasbonilsson to post.

I rarely participate here, so I wouldn't consider myself a true Lounger, but I do enjoy reading your posts... You all have a great deal of knowledge and style.

Here's a picture of myself dancing Argentine Tango.

Raymond Scott! That's quite a reference... You must collect old records. He reminds me a bit of Harold Arlen, in that not many people will remember his name, but almost everyone has heard a song he wrote at one point or another.

All this time I've spent listening to his wonderful Quintette.. Who would have thought? I guess I do sort of look like him in my photo.

Not only that, but he bears an eerie resemblance to Raymond Scott.
