Thank you very much Technonut. My smile needs improvement, and the shirt has to be one of the most poorest quality I've worn in a while (everything's fake!) but I'm proud to wear it... when I get to (don't have all of my volunteer hours in yet to get it officialized with badge and my name embroidered).

And Hemingway.... I too have gotten jeans from the gap, or at least Old Navy jeans from the gap OUTLET.... but you need to get you some Levi's! They've been around since the golden era, and they still make some of the models they made back then. It's only right that you do so... And it does seem weird seeing you all casual[huh]

And James, I must say I'm shocked. The man who once told me he always wears a pocket squares goes to work in jeans. Maybe this is how things went down hill in American Style and clothing. One guy straight outta the golden era started wearing jeans... then another one admits he wore jeans to work, and then they inspire others to wear jeans, and then they inspire others to wear jeans, and so on, and so one.... lol

Looking at this photo, I'd think you were Beaver (leave it to beaver) all grown up.

"Gee, Wally, I just like this outfit so much!"

I think you are about to break into song.

"Vintage......! I love vintage.....! Suit and ties, spectacles for my eyes!
To find a suit dated 1935, a '43 chevy when I drive, to go in debt after meeting a vet, oh I love vintage!"

I was deciding between the two. :p Beaver was younger, so I'd think people would be more eager to see him at an older age than Wally.

:eek:fftopic: Ok, so I'll answer the gun question!
Yes, men look sexy with guns... but only certain kinds, none of these plastic glocks and such! And of course size matters, lol! As well as the ammo.

I think it's the danger aspect..yes... but also the "men protecting their family" aspect. Men with guns are only sexy when they know what they're doing with them. When my husband and I go shooting I find it fascinating how he explains everything to me. From the safety, to the grip, to aim...and then taking apart and cleaning. Or how he can look at a gun an name it.
It's just a very "manly" thing. Not to say, of course, that women are not adept in firearm knowledge.

Then there's the whole Hollywood/movie aspect.

I like to prance around the house in my vintage clothing and hubby likes to wear his shoulder holster and gun thinking he's cool. "Watch how fast I can draw!"...

Nothing directed at Mr. Jones at all, only the two Cleaver characters. People would wonder how Beaver would look at a mature age, rather than Wally, because in the show, he was the younger one. The outfit reminds me of what they wore. No harm done, I hope.

I also have only one pair of jeans, torn, faded, and Dickied. ;)

Stick em' up cowboy!

Of course not, I am only kidding around. I am probably about twice your age. :eusa_doh:

:( Well, I ain't got a gun. But I'm an ex-boxer that tends to carry around my great-grandfather's 24" heavy mechanic's monkey wrench. Does that count? :D Of course, the only person I've hit with it .... myself, on the knee, accidentally. The memory still hurts.

Why sure! Guns aren't the "only" turn on, lol...
Besides, since we keep our guns locked up we'd probably hafta use the huge "scull crusher" flashlight we keep under the bed if someone came in.
So yah, big monkey wrench good, even better with that hat. :p

It was a compliment. :D A look at that avatar and it all makes sense. :eusa_clap
No gun debate. Just cool guns. Is that a model 1897 you are holding or a Thompson? :D

Just joking, too (about the gun debate). It's a Model 1927 Thompson.

seen them both more people would rather see Tony Dow than Jerry Mathers, TRUST ME:D

Gaige has good taste in guns, that's for sure. Good muzzle-discipline, too! I'd post mine of my stint as the "piano man", but it's already been well spread around the Lounge--it's one of only a few photos available of me; I've been generally successful at dodging the camera. (Hey, I'm paranoid and a recovering recluse--old habits die hard...lol)
