For those men who like to keep their faces moisturized, what products do you use for day, and, more to my question, night? I like a smooth, well protected, and moisturized face. So what re you gents slappin' on yer mugs?

Drummer4hire,
Welcome to the Lounge!
Quite a number of the gents here, as well as myself, are wetshavers, using classic razors, fine soaps and creams, and shaving brushes to remove beard growth. The better quality soaps and creams make a difference, and once a shave is complete, I myself use a toner of some sort (witch hazel typically) as well as an after shave splash or balm. I have a wide array of different products, Nivea is among them. You may want to visit www.badgerandblade.com and check out the shavewiki portion for reviews on different brands.
Taking care of your skin can never be a bad thing!

Nivea Creme.

Same here. JitterbugDoll praised it in the forums here years ago and I've used it ever since. But it has to be the German tin, not the one from Mexico. My friend who makes frequent trips to America from Switzerland keeps me well supplied. I also use Lucky Tiger after shave lotion as a pre-and-post shave moisturizer in addition to Nivea goop.

I sometimes steal Warrene Beatty's line (about Tom Hanks): "I have tubs of moisturizer older than you are!"

I don't moisturize, but I do use shaving soap and a brush instead of gel/foam gunk. I find it feels much better. Also, since I started to use aftershave (Old Spice) I have found that my skin is less likely to break out, which is good. Over the summer, when I was out in the sun a lot, I did use some sort of aloe cream, but that is it.

Thanks gents. I regularly use Nivea face wash ad scrub, and have been wetshaving for almost two years, and have never looked back. I only get breaekouts when i continually touch my smooth face (or my girlfriend touches it, which is fine by me:D). I use the Nivea sensitive balm, because my cheeks dry out, and hit it with some a/s splash, for scent. I just picked up Nivea's Q10 lotion (i have a thing for keeping brands similar. Ask about my cymbals :/), and have thus far no problems with it. Little goes a long way, and no greasy feelings, though YMMV. But I was curios to see what the manly men here used to nourish their faces
