Transgendered members have always been welcome in the PR. I know we've had at least two in the past who have been open about their status, and no member has ever expressed any misgivings to us about their presence. I don't see any need for that to change.

It's good to see so many once-familiar faces coming back to the Lounge to participate in this vote -- we hope that whatever the outcome we'll be able to regain your confidence and that you'll be spending more time with us in the future. Good to see ladies speaking out. People have been programmed to steer away from difficulty or controversy these days. Doing the right thing is not easy and stressful, but many people only care about themselves. I don't have a lot of tolerance for those with a 'victim blaming' mentality and who minimise what people have mentioned as happening to and upsetting them. Just because it didn't happen to 'you' does not make it less valid or disgraceful.

Voting is closed, and with no further votes submitted before the 6pm EDT deadline, the proposal carries. As of now, the Powder Room and Beauty are officially WOMEN ONLY. The current setup is provisional, while we work out the final structure of how the women's section of the Lounge will be established, and a "Parlor" area as proposed and discussed by several members, where men may post questions or links of interest to women, will be established soon.
