Maj.Nick, thanks for the compliment. My avatar is actually Jeremy Brett who played Sherlock Holmes ( If you already knew that, I'm sorry if I offended you ) Jeremy does have that Victorian look. Love that Homburg. Sherlock might be jealous of Fortinos collection
I really echo this, especially the last part.Grnidwitch said:Well, I'm of the belief that some of us have been here before and yes, some people are very old souls. I've been here before, many times. I don't want to get into a lot of discussion on this but Karma does work into it. Now, before y'all jump on THAT topic, let me just say, that not all people believe in Karma and Karmic debt and Karmic lessons.
My heart yearns for Ireland and Scotland. Druidic, (could be why I'm a pagan now) Medieval (The Knights Templar and my affinity for large horses) and Victorian (why I would be much more comfortable in a corset and long dress) eras. I know that there is a portrait of the me then, somewhere in a dusty old shop. Turn of the last century and shot stints in the 40's. I love the old war birds. P40's, Corsairs and such.
Now, this might seem very disjointed to a few of you but it's what is inside. I've never felt a part of this world, always on the outside looking in. Quite sad and lonely really. But there is a lesson to learn this go around. And I'm learning it.

I can also see some paralells that could hint at a prior life for myself. I have the greatest fondness and "connection" to the Belle Epoque & Edwardian eras. Since I was young, I've had such uncommon fancies as parasols, creaky early parlor music, barbershop quartets, grainy black & white documentary footage from those decades, and practicing elaborate coiffures, all of which were common in those eras(minus the footage, naturally). I too feel I would be most comfortable in a corset, and high-top boots, and a finely tailored walking suit. Another funny thing is my whole life I've had respiratory problems, many severe bouts of bronchitis primarily. I also experience times when I'll have been perfectly normal a second before, and all of a sudden I start gasping as if it's my dying breaths. A few years ago, I read up on the 1918 influenza epidemic, and the statistic that alot of deaths were also from bronchitis, and was startled by how much it affected me. Had I indeed had a past life, I would not rule out the possibility of having passed away at that time, as my interest generally wanes after this same period. It's certainly an intriguing thought.
