Its no secret that I am a fan of captain America and the 1940s. So when I was told that Agent Carter got her own TV show I was super excited! And being a brunette I've been told a number of times that I look like Agent Carter :)

Here is the link to Agent Carter's style guide http://www.dailydot.com/geek/agent-carter-costume-design/

I adore Agent Carter's red hat. I hope one of the many repo clothing companies adopt Agent Carter fashions.

Re: the red hat, I agree completely. I just adore her look and good job to Marvel for actually doing some research!

Now if only I could get people to quit telling me "Hey.. there's this show I think you'll like.... you should watch it." :eusa_doh:

Thanks for that link, MNV. I liked this theory:

"Our prediction is that Peggy Carter's costumes will remain trapped in the 1940s while other characters begin to adopt new fashions. Nicely symbolic of her lingering attachment to her wartime life."

And only hope we get enough seasons to find out.

Of course, I balk at them referring to the period men's suits as "dorky", but what are you going to do? Personally, I think the current too-tight style that they're admiring looks like Pee Wee Herman, the fun epitome of dorkiness, so one of us is wrong. lol

Thanks for posting. I love this series and am absolutely enchanted with Miss Carter's clothes. They're so well-researched, and I love the mid-forties style. It suits her so well. I want to copy that medium blue pinstripe shirtwaist she was wearing in this week's episode.

I'm really looking forward to it! I don't watch many current TV shows but I happened to catch a promo for Agent Carter and the 1940s styling of it reeled me in.

I haven't been able to get hold of it here in the UK but I've seen clips on You Tube. I can't wait to finally get to watch it. I love Captain America so much. Particularly the First Avenger because of the wartime setting. I do a bit of Dieselpunk as well as vintage and for some reason my Dieselpunk outfits always end up being inspired by Captain America and Peggy Carter. I'm obsessed!

From what I've seen the styling looks very on point! Love it!

I've had more women asking me about that hat, it's not that hard of a model to wear, it's just that the red is quite, red...
Different reds for different skin types and all that.
A fedora looks great on women, you just need to find your right height, angles, colour and brimwith.

I'm going on a sunday tv show binge now... :)

I adore Agent Carter so much. I don't watch TV but they were showing Marvels Agent Carter for free online and I finally got the chance to watch the first season, ABC Go http://abc.go.com/ (watch for free for a limited time)

My favorite Peggy Carter quote: I know my value any one else's opinion of me doesn't really matter.

We have that hat, it's called the Aviatrix and it is an awesome hat!

I'm working my way through the second season, allowing myself to keep one in reserve in case of cliff hangers. I'm pretty sure that all of Agent Carter's clothes are custom made, but I wish they'd let slip where they find some of the other hats.

So it's been a few years since the show was cancelled after the second season. I still watch it now and then, as I'm sure others do. But I'm wondering if any of you have purchased the AC sunglasses from oldfocals? I'm *this* close to buying them, I just have to wait til July due to priorities. They're so beautiful.
