Manufacturer/supplier of hat worn by the New Zealand military

Good day Loungers,

Does anyone have any information on who manufacturers the hat worn by the New Zealand military?
It looks identical to the Akubra Slouch Hat, but it is worn with the brim flattened without any dip.
I really like this style of hat and I would like something similar. If I could find the same hat that would be great, though I would probably make some minor changes to differentiate myself from those who serve in the military out of respect.

Can anyone shed some light, and suggest Akubras that are similar in terms of the bash, brim size, colour etc?

If I were betting I would think Akubra probably supplies them , but they pop up on eBay , the Slouch , along with the Lemon Squeezer ... . Nope they're made by Hills Hats Ltd in NZ .

I saw a couple of these while in New Zealand. Sharp looking hats. I saw two vendors when I checked them a while back , but cannot find the second one anymore.

The thing I saw from Hills Hats Ltd showed retailers here , and Village Hat Shop was one , but nothing came up doing a search .

The village hat shop does sell Hill's hats but this army hat is made to order so it's doubtful they will stock it. Looks like it's a hard hat to get your hands on but it does seem to have similar dimensions to Akubra's slouch hat, (though prehaps a little less 'green') so one could crease an Akubra in the same way & then try to source a puggaree.
