No, you're right, Metropd -- the crease on the hat in the photograph looks nothing like the crease on Bogie's lid in the Maltese falcon.

ex812 -- if you do a search in the Hats Forum, trust me, you will come up with all kinds of photos of Maltese Falcon creases...

That hat seems to sit very high on Bogart's head, but then I suppose it has to with such a deep crease. I've tried it on one of mine but couldn't get the 'C' shape at the back to work properly. More practice required.

Bogie's FALCON bash always looked like a deep diamond bash to me.

I crease most of my lids this way .... still not Bogies hat ... but it is my hat!

Yup. Hand-creased diamond with a distinctive rake, a moderately sharp pinch in the front, and shallow, barely perceptible side dents...
