Saw this on another site.

The sleeves are a bit long, but the fit is very nice:D

Nice jacket - I like the fit and appointments. Is this one of the Aero designs produced for LVC, or something else?

Hi Edward

Came out, I think, about 2 years ago. Similar hide to the "menlo" jackets. Not made by Aero, AFAIK

Nice jacket, it looks a bit like the modified cossack that Worf recently posted, but with a different collar!

That LVC Rushmore is an awkward fit.

The body length is short especially at the back. The XL is a good fit on me except in the body length. Shame as it's a great styled jacket.

Yes, short in the back, and sloping to the front closure point, producing a lower hem in front. Excellent repro; most of the originals I've seen are like this too.

That's true Baron.

I think what frustrated me was the nice long arm length with a narrow chest (prefect for my 6'2" frame) but the body was way too short in comparison.

I wear high waist jeans and I like a short fitted cut but this was above my belt! I would have been happy with the same fit as the guy in that picture.

On another point the leather didn't really do it for me. I'm not a fan of those distressed finishes but I guess people want that 60 year old look right off the peg.

Is there a specific reason why this hemstyle came into being, or was it just a style thing? I've seen plenty of modern bike leather the other way around (designed for hunching over a racing bike, so the jacket won't foul the tank or push up on itself at the front, while staying long enough to cover the lower back), but I'm not clear on whether there is a practical reason for the opposite approach on vintage stuff.
