I know this is an old thread, but I just discovered a local shop. Sure, the bath products smell lovely, but how are their skin care products? I'm looking for a new facial cleanser and moisturizer that's good for dry and sensitive skin. Most of their stuff seems to be for oily or blemish prone skin. Do any of the "ladies of a certain age" use their products? I've been using the Aveda allsensitive line, but it's very pricey.

You can see a lot of reviews on the site itself, and there is also a Lush community on LJ with a lot of information and helpful ladies. There is even a swaps community if you want to try something out but don't live close to a store or can't go for whatever reason.

I believe Aqua Marina is one of their cleansers targeted to sensitive skin. Personally I use Angels on Bare Skin.

I've recently gone back to using Lush and I also find most of their moisturisers very hit and miss especially under make-up.

I actually use the Enchanted Eye Cream as a face cream because it's really light and absorbs well. If you find the moisturisers a little heavy or feel like they cause breakouts you may want to try looking for the ones without cocoa butter. You could also try the eye cream, it's similar price range to the regular moisturisers and the packaging is more hygienic. It's pretty much fragrance free with minimal ingredients. I find it to be of no harm to my sensitive skin.

I'm using Fresh Farmacy to cleanse, I quite like it but it is a little drying & I go through it too quickly so I'll switch to Aqua Marina next time which I used to use and really liked.

I use Therapy and American Cream on my hair and love both.

I picked up some of the Enchanted Eye Cream today because of this rec. I just put it on for the first time, so no thoughts yet, but I am hoping it works well and will solve my need for a moisturizer and my love of LUSH!

I am indifferent. I like the way it feels and sits on/in my skin, but I don't think it is helping it any. I am wondering if it is the cause of a few breakouts or if it is my BB Seaweed. Hrmmm...

Unfortunately it does take around 2 weeks for your skin to take properly to a new regime and it is not uncommon to have a purge in that time. My favourite moisturisers are actually by Dermalogica but the EEC is filling the gap nicely at the moment for me.

It contained SnowShowers (kinda strange, but LOVE), Honey, I washed the kids (haven't tried but love the scent) and Dream Cream (LOVE). I am hooked! The Dream Cream doesn't have much scent, so I might play around with adding some BPAL oils to it.

Attention fellow Lush fans: they are having an amazing after-Christmas sale online and in stores right now. I stopped by my local store yesterday and bought over $80 worth of stuff for just under $30!

In the past two weeks I've spent about $100US in Lush. Clearly, I won't be going back for a while

So far, my favorite product purchased so far is Flying Fox Shower Gel. It smells of jasmine and honey, but reminds me of honeysuckle and mimosa blossoms in my grandmother's back yard! Great lather, too.

I really like Baby Face Cleanser and Eau Roma Water Toner, too! I have highly sensitive, very dry skin that reacts to anything, and so far, it's only gotten smoother and clearer!

I've bought some Jungle and have been using Squeaky Green for about a week now-- it's astounding, not only is my hair softer and healthier, but it's gone from stick-straight to wavy!

I react to every product, and it's really rare that I find one that makes my skin/hair look better as compared to worse, but Lush has really started to work for me!

I have been using Lush products for just under a month. My initial purchase was $60 and I was curious to see how long everything will last since one of the biggest complaints is cost. Here's my review: the Honey, I washed the kids soap is still my favorite. I bought 2 (.25lb bars). I cut the bars in half so they wouldn't dissolve as quickly in the shower. I've just start on my second half bar. I'm using aquamarine face cleanser and just now coming to the end of the first slice. It has done wonders for my skin and really evened out my very dry areas and very oily areas. The only product I didn't like is the skin drink moisturizer. It feels good an hour later, but when first applied, it feels too heavy. I don't think I'll buy it again. I now only use it as a night cream. I also got a couple bath bombs, but have decided they are not worth the price. I think that if the soap bars and the aquamarine continue to last as long, the price will end up being no more than I was spending on MaryKay products. The one thing that has surprised me is the sample of deodorant. Since there have been studies linking chemical deodorants to breast cancer, I have been trying to find a more natural solution. The Lush deodorant works better than Tom's of Maine and other natural products. I haven't decided to give up regular ones all together, but I can see using the Lush deodorant on less active days.

I need a perfume with that smell!!!

And they are bringing back lip scrubs they had to d/c when they closed B Never...

Bubblegum smells like their SnowFairy shower gel and sweet lips like chocolate.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a LUSH product for acne. Unfortunately/fortunately I have been living in my gym clothes lately and have had an influx of body breakouts. I have had a couple really killers and need a no nonsense product...anything with coal?

The best product for body acne is the Lemslip butter cream, clears them up and smells so fresh and lovely. Exfoliants can sometimes be too harsh for acne and can inflame it.

I've given up on Lush. After 2 months of using the aquamarina, my face has started getting dry, tight, red and slightly burn-y. I went back to cold cream and my face feels good again. Is anyone interested in my unused aquamarina?

kamikat, Lush is a product i wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, my experience with Lush the time I bought the product was similar to yours, I'm sorry you are going through that problem .... Now I try to use creams that do not have any perfume in it, or have very little perfume and I am very happy with the results.
