The funny thing is that most Americans don’t “get” sauerkraut. The abomination that is sold in the States as sauerkraut is too horrific to contemplate. The real thing, however, is delicate and well balanced and at least deserving of a sonnet. I have been turned from a sceptic to a true believer in regards to sauerkraut.
