Some of these things remind me of country-style "all-day meeting and dinner on the grounds." The collect is for nice, warm weather; generally held in May.

A word on the words here. "Dinner" here means lunch. What some folks call dinner, others call "supper." And still more people who may resent being called "folks" think that supper is what you eat at midnight. Breakfast, of course, is always the first meal of the day. A few restaurants advertise that they serve breakfast all day, which is a Good Thing.

I had a bowl of leftover homemade hot and sour soup and some leftover homemade fried chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Odd combination, but strangely filling.

Potluck lunch at work today. Great homemade food consisting of tacos, tamales, enchiladas, rice, and a birthday cake. Oh yeah, and of course, chips and salsa. I ate until I could not eat any more. Well, not true, but the pain was already more than enough so I stopped. A great meal with great people.

Peanutbutter and Marshmallow Fluff on a brioche roll (from the super market - not fancy, but soft and perfect size and texture for a fluffernutter sandwich) with a tall glass of chocolate milk and, for dessert, a couple of chocolate chip cookies.

Sometime simple is the only way to go.

Two so called 'Gourmet Burgers'.
Tasted ok but putting those two words together is surely a travesty of the English, or any other language.
