Thanks for your help, i realy appreciate!
I have contact Noble House, but they cannot give me correct measures of theire jacket; what they call custom size is in fact and stock jacket they will mod by shortened length or arms.
I order the Luftwaffe one in cloth from us, the quality was very cheap, poor stitching, and very strange fit, the shoulder are 3 inch too big and the waist 2 inch to small to close it?! I ship it back the same day!
LL was one of my first choice and contact us but they refuse to not put the brand patch on it so don t buy it as i always prefer unbranded look.
To Speedrvrx, i order from Pegasus but they do mistake and don t aswer my mails since weeks so needed to open pp claim.
Realy sad about it because the one i prefer.
I also buy Schott LC5142, leather are good (better than the Pegasus one) but the shape don t fit me well.
So i always search!
Please post me pics of yours or 30 and 40's look jacket.

Not long ago, Schott released a jacket that's also quite close to what you're looking. It's supposed to be slimmer fitting model than the LC5142 but... I Don't really know. Can't find any concrete info on it because of what they've named it. Might be worth a look, though. It's the best jacket I've seen from them in a while.

Your Luftwaffe jacket search sounds like the equivalent of my G-! hunt. The G-1 hunt isn't resolved here but the Luftwaffe is (both ELC jacket offerings). Good luck Sir in your mission

Fair enough.
However, only saw WW2 Luftwaffe private purchased jacket photos with Hartmann jackets.
So far I newer saw any WW2 Luftwaffe photos with " Ostmann " like jackets.
Happy to see photos of WW2 "Ostmann" jackets if any available.

There have been some photos in one of the threads here sometime back. Plus Eastman has photos of its offering in the standard Luftwaffe, which it is, evidently, now calling the Ostmann.

Of course, the Luftwaffe never had an issued leather jacket until the sheepskin version of the Kanaljacke in - if memory serves - 1944, so all those jackets worn by Hartmann, Galland (at least before he took to wearing a captured Irvin suit) and the rest were pp.

Any of the Aero 30s HB models with European looking details would be perfect for a "luftwaffe style" jacket; many of thed ral thing were French jackets designed for cycling.

IMO, the Lewis jackets are beauiful, but not really ideal if you want a 'realistic' jacket that could have been worn by an actual Luftwaffe pilot, as opposed to a guy with a Sixties haircut in a jingoistic, low-budget British film from the early sixties....

Those jackets are know under "Reichs-Defence" jackets. Some were wired for electrical heating some not...same for matching leather channel Pants/trousers.

All connectors and wires present. Breast eagle in the pocket.

I just see ELC change pics of their Hartmann jacket.
To be honest i contact him but they say they cannot mix std and long patern; in fact what i search is std arm length and long body; if they can do it i Order today!

I have an Eastman "Ostman" jacket in a 42" ... and at 170cm (5'7") and 90Kg (195lb) I don't think it would accommodate anyone any taller than 175cm TBH. These are quite short jackets overall on a par with the Vanson Comet and the std. sleeve length on the 42" is 25".

Thx, photos all known...but not the ones sought after.
Just compare breast pockets angle,and/or waist pockets location, and no slash pockets in those WW2 jackets...
Guess the ELC Ostmann repro is a great jacket also pictured in the battle of britain movie from the 60ies...but no real ww2 pics reflecting it...or please help and show...In 43 years of collecting..still looking for a good one.

I think because of a number of factors pics of Luftwaffe pilots in leather jackets ( aside of the google examples) are much rarer than USAF or RAF pilots. this includes the famed "Hartmann" style jacket .These factors being:

1. After the war many of the pictures of German pilots were not retained due to the stigma of the Reich
2. They were never an "issued" item and were private purchase
3. As a result, it was customary for them only to be worn in an unofficial or "cockpit" capacity rather than uniform.
4. In general pictures of German airfield activity are MUCH rarer than USAF or RAF pictures perhaps due to greater media control.

There were so many different styles of these jackets that I believe Eastman have used the time honored technique of "interpretation" based on the styling cues of the available pics and merged these with the current market. The result is a mighty fine jacket - but is in no way an accurate reproduction - in the Ostman. The Hartmann has some detail pictures which can be used and this style seems to have been one of the more popular /common styles ( I didn't like the feel of the capeskin in the Eastman version TBH).

I wish somebody would post a review of the Noble House jacket. They got some bad press here a few years ago but I'd like to hear something more recent. That photo and the price are just so damned tempting. Every so often I go back and look at it and ask myself, "How bad can it be?" (Silly question, I know).

I actually bought a Jacket from Nobel House, the leather is very nice and excellent lining is wild sheepskin . The Collar (carpet) "I sent to another place to replace so It will be Mouton and larger.. yes It worked".. flightJackets.com did it for me.. I really love it now...
