LTB Boy Scout Campaign hat

Hello folks, I'm poking around to see if anyone has a 7 1/4 or 7 /38 boy scouts of america campaign hat. or a Stratton campaign hat in the olive color. I was the local scout camp and they had a little museum in the back of the trading post, in a display case they had a campaign hat from the '30's w/ the original box. I'd love to have something like that, but I have no idea how much it'd go for, it seems that they are few and far between.

I thought I saw something like that on ebay recently. I think it was a Stetson BSA hat. I certainly see plenty of campaign hats on ebay. I hope that helps.

The Stratton's are very nice hats, THICK felt and the sweatband was great. The drawback from my standpoint was the plastic lined holes for the chin strap, and the 4 holes (Front, back, and both sides) for ventilation. New Stratton's are between $100.00 and $150.00. They're well worth the money. They also come in Wide Oval, and Long Oval. If you want something a little different, have Major Moore, Roy Jackson or another cowboy hat maker build you one.

Just curious, have you checked the Scout office / store? I haven't bothered to look at the campaign hats there. I haven't seen one manufactured since the 1970's so I don't know what they're like. They are slightly cheaper than the Stratton's, but then the Stratton's are really well made.

6-8 week lead time from whom? Stratton? There are several police supply places that sell those hats.
