Tidying up some old files, I came across Ruby-Mae taken on the day that she left the litter, seven years ago.

This is King. He used to live with Mr. Jesse across the street, but Mr. Jesse is 87 and his health is failing fast, so he's going into assisted living. His kids sold the house and none of 'em wanted poor King, so they were going to carry him to the pound. Since I well know what would happen to an 11 year old dog at the pound, I said he could stay here. He seems pretty chill, and so far has been good with the kids and my other dog. I'm kinda hoping to find him a good home somewhere else, although I have a strong feeling - based on past experience - that I know about how that's gonna shake out.
